COURSE AND NEW CLUBHOUSE NEWS
Every day the new clubhouse is edging closer to completion. Most of the work is being focused on the lower ground floor, and the builders are now finishing the areas that we need to begin operating from this site.
From Tuesday carpet layers began work on the lower ground floor. The two leasable office spaces, which will serve as the temporary members lounge and also administration have been completed. Today work on the pro-shop has commenced.
Tiling of the lower ground floor is almost completed, which includes the lower ground lobby, the locker room showers and amenities and the halfway house. The benches and equipment for the half way house is scheduled to be delivered next week.
In the back of house areas our new keg room is being fitted out. This includes the installation of the beer manifolds, glycol system and gas pumps.
The new on-grade car park and entry road are scheduled to be sealed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Once completed we will have proper access to the clubhouse and carpark.
Flemmings have been completing the shaping of the clubhouse surrounds in front of the function and dining pods. This area is now having irrigation installed before it can be turfed and planted. Flemmings have also commenced excavating the loading dock area in preparation for the road contractors to complete this area.
Earlier in the week turfing of the surrounds of the practice putting and chipping green commenced. More turf will be delivered next week to continue turfing this area and the new 17th hole.
In front of the pro-shop the garden bed has been formed up and rendered. The club’s flagpole will be mounted in this area. Over the next few days this area will be sealed, then it can be concreted to the finished levels.
Moving to New Clubhouse
We are scheduled to relocate to the Lower Ground Floor temporary accommodation at the end of May. We expect to be able to relocate sometime between May 28 and June 1. We need to relocate the administration, bar, members area and proshop during this period and there will no doubt be some disruption to current member services at times in this period and we apologise to members in advance.
It will be a complex logistical exercise trying to maintain service to members as much as possible during this period as the precise timing of the move is out of our hands, making planning difficult to say the least.
We will update members as to the “how and when” of the move as we get closer to the date.
Members Lockers
For all those members who currently have lockers, please be advised that all belongings must be removed by the 27th of May. This will be the last date that we will have access to this area so please ensure that all items are removed.
CONQUEST UPDATE & Parking
The excavation of our current clubhouse carpark is racing along. Due to this work we have lost the entire main carpark. On busy golfing days it is likely that there will not be enough parking available in the temporary carparks. If this is the case, please proceed to in the area close to where the old 18th green was located. There is sufficient room here to accommodate any overflow parking.

SINGLES KNOCKOUT
The Semi finals of the Singles KO matchplay will be played this Saturday, 19 May 2018. Tee times are sheduled for 11:04am and 11:12am.

NO DRINKS CART ON THE COURSE
A reminder for members that due to Peter, our caterer, no longer being with the club there will not be a drinks cart on the course during the interim period until we move across to the new clubhouse.
We have organised to have a variety of sandwiches and wraps delivered daily which can be purchased before the round from either the bar or the pro-shop. We apologise for the inconvenience due to the timing of these events. The halfway house at the new clubhouse will be up and running as soon as we are operational from the new site.
