COURSE AND NEW CLUBHOUSE NEWS
This week Flemmings have been able to complete much of the clubhouse surrounds. Early in the week the bank in front of the dining area was turfed along with a large section in between the cart path and the practice putting green. More turf was laid this morning to complete the area between the pro-shop and the 18th green.
The concrete paths around the pro-shop leading to both the 1st and 9th tees have now all been poured. All that is remaining is for these paths to be acid washed which will take place this Thursday. Now that the concrete paths are all in place Flemmings will be able to trim the new 9th tee complex in preparation for turfing.
The warm-up hitting bays are ready for installation. Cleaning of the slab and laying of synthetic turf is scheduled for mid-next week.
Gosford irrigation has been trenching and installing the last segments of irrigation along the new 17th fairway which was shaped last week. This is the area that has been reclaimed from our old temporary car park. This area will be turfed next week weather permitting. Gosford irrigation are also working on the fittings for our new bubblers which should start appearing on the course by Wednesday.
The new 17th green is now being cut at 4mm. It is now 9 weeks since this green was seeded. Due to the winter weather the greens will take a little longer to grow in. We anticipate that this green will be ready to play in around 3 weeks from now.
At the clubhouse painters have been tidying the exterior of the venue. Inside most of the tiling is completed and painting of the ground floor areas is well under way. Bench tops for the vanities in the members locker rooms are now in place.
Throughout the week we have had six 40ft shipping containers delivered containing 2,000 cartons of furniture for the clubhouse. This has been unloaded and in onsite ready to roll out as soon as areas of the club are completed.
Each day more equipment is installed in both the kitchen and bar. The chiller plates and taps for our beer system were installed this week.
Course CLOSED THURSDAY 19 July 2017
The golf course will be closed this coming Thursday. Contractors will be sealing the road and we will not have access to the underground car park during this time.
Course Routing
Today we have commenced a new course routing. The holes are currently the same as our previous routing. With the concrete paths completed this routing allows us to bring golfers back to the clubhouse after 9 holes, and to operate a two tee start.
We will continue to play this routing for the next few weeks until the new 17th green is ready for play. At this time we will be able to play the course routing as designed in the masterplan. The par 5 15th will be playable in its full length. We still may need to play shortened 9th and 17th holes while the tees and fairways grow in.

Two Tee Start and Halfway house opening times
From tomorrow we will be operating a two tee start on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The new course routing allows us to hit golfers off on both our 1st and 9th holes, and also allow them to pass by the half-way house after 9 holes.
In order to accommodate golfers we have revised the opening hours of the halfway house. The halfway house will be open from;

Due to the current relocation of the admin office and the installation of a new phone system, the direct line to the pro-shop is currently inactive.

BAR LEVY AND PRIZES
This is a reminder that all unused bar credit will expire this Sunday on 15 July 2018. Also prizes and golf balls won prior to 30 April 2018 also must be redeemed prior to 15 July. Prizes won from 1 May 2018 will not expire this year.
