Sunday 24 August Sam, Declan, along with the course maintenance team were able to cut all putting surfaces using the \u2018Walk Behind\u2019\u00a0mowers. These units are typically transported between holes via a Gator towing a trailer.<\/p>\n

However, due to soft ground conditions and the increased risk of turf damage or the equipment becoming bogged, the team made the decision to manually walk the mowers around the course. This approach, while more labour-intensive, was taken to ensure the playing surfaces remained protected and to avoid any unnecessary disruption to the course.<\/p>\n

Their proactive response and commitment to maintaining course standards under challenging conditions are greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n

The team will begin repair works today Monday, installing sand and gravel as soon as the delivery arrives. Many of the affected areas are now contaminated and will require significant remediation to restore the integrity of the system.<\/p>\n

This process involves reinstating the gravel and sand layers to ensure proper functionality and long-term success. The team is prepared to carry out this work thoroughly and efficiently once materials are on site.\u00a0<\/p>\n
