The significant improvements to our playing surfaces and overall course presentation\u2014driven by the success of the recent irrigation and drainage projects\u2014have positioned Strathfield as one of the most resilient courses in Metropolitan Sydney. Whether facing hot, dry conditions or extended periods of wet weather, the course is now performing exceptionally well.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain a fair balance between member access to timesheets and the ongoing needs of course maintenance, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>membership across all categories is now officially closed.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>From this point forward, all new applications will be placed on a<strong> waitlist<\/strong> and assigned a numbered position. Thanks to their efforts, we have been able to remove many of the ropes and stakes that were both time\u2011consuming to maintain and detracted from the course\u2019s overall presentation and aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>However, the image below highlights a growing concern: some members are not adhering to our <strong>Blue Line Policy<\/strong>, nor the requirement to <strong>keep buggies off and away from tees<\/strong>. These rules exist to protect the course, and it\u2019s clear this is being taken for granted.<\/p>\n<p>If this behaviour continues, high\u2011traffic areas will inevitably become compacted, leading to declining turf health and eventually\u00a0unsightly\u00a0bare patches. On a regular basis I will be monitoring this behaviour closely. Members who continue to disregard these policies may unfortunately face disciplinary action, including the possibility of suspension.<\/p>\n<p>We ask all members to respect the <strong>Blue Line Policy<\/strong>, ensure your guests are aware of it, and keep buggies and carts on designated paths\u2014never on or across tees.
