COURSE AND NEW CLUBHOUSE NEWS

The first concrete pour on the roof was completed this week and next week the final pour will be made followed by erection of roof trusses to complete the structure.

The large stockpile of soil on the southern end of the new clubhouse will be spread out and backfilled against the building. The continued dry weather has enabled us to carry out works without rain delays and we are happy with the progress made to date.

On the course the new 12th green is almost complete and will be seeded next week. The new 13th green was seeded last Thursday and with the warmer ground conditions has already begun to shoot. The new 10th and 14th greens have had their first cut this week and are already being cut at 7mm. The new par 3 10th green should be in play in 2-3 weeks and this will require further navigation changes.

The new 14th green after being cut for the first time

Work has commenced on the old 4th and 6th fairways with blecovation of the area between the haul road and the new 18th green being completed. The old 6th fairway will be completely rebuilt, topdressed and turfed.

The turf farms were having difficulty provided quality turf when we needed it however we were able to obtain turf from Concord Golf Club which was used the turf the new 11th fairway. This turfing was completed in two days and is looking great.
