Reopen from 3 June 2020
As you may be aware, the NSW Government has announced an easing of restrictions on Clubs from Monday the 1st of June 2020. The changing rules mean we are now in a position to open the main club house, albeit under strict restrictions.
Please note that while we can open the Club, there are still significant hurdles that we need to work together to adhere to so our Club can legally trade. The NSW Government & NSW Health requires the Club to enforce a number of protocols to provide a safe environment for our members and guests. These include 1.5metre social distancing provisions, enhanced hygiene and cleaning regimes and the collection of data of those who enter and exit our Club
Some of the new requirements will require patience and an acceptance to change.
What we need to know:
There will be limits to the number of patrons allowed into the club at any one time. At this point, the Club can accommodate up to 100 patrons.
Entry to the club will be via the Front Reception only.
Regardless of whether you are a club member or not, you will be asked to sign in and note your contact details (telephone number or email address). Minors will not be required to sign in.
Staff will be required to assess the health of all people entering the club and deny entry to anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
Please stay home if you are feeling unwell.
Our reception and bar will be manned by our COVID safe marshalls who will be ensuring that the ‘social distancing’ provisions (1.5m) are enforced. Please understand that their job is to help to protect you.
Together we must also limit the movement of people within the club. To this end, patrons (including children) must remain seated as much as possible and not roam around the club.
You can purchase alcohol and/or visit the Gaming Lounge at anytime during Club operating hours without the need to purchase a meal.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Located close to the heart of the Sydney metropolitan area, Strathfield Golf Club is within easy driving distance of Sydney’s suburbs to the north, south, east and west.
The Club has recently undergone a major redevelopment resulting in a brand-new spectacular clubhouse which officially opened in November of 2018. A hidden oasis encompassed by the lush fairways of the golf course, the clubhouse features a members lounge, sports lounge, casual dining area, cafe, gaming lounge, event centre and an abundance of alfresco areas all with panoramic views.
The sculptural building shape was inspired by forms experienced on the golf course, namely the curvature of rolling greens, the undulating edges of bunkers and the elliptical shape of a driver. When viewed from above, the building form represents three ‘drivers’ and when viewed from ground level, the building blends in seamlessly with the surrounding golf course.
Views over the golf course from within the clubhouse have been maximized and take full advantage of the building being in such close proximity to the golf course.
Visitors are welcome to visit and enjoy the wonderful clubhouse facilities. Strathfield Golf Club now offers a social category of membership, giving those members access to the lounge, dining and gaming areas of the new clubhouse.
