Review of Clubhouse Catering Operations

As advised in my message to Members following the EGM on Monday 29th January 2024, wherein it was disclosed the Board was undertaking a full review of our Catering options. The decision to bring the Catering in-house has proven not to be profitable, after an exceptional effort by all staff to try and close the gap.

Clearly, our Club cannot continue to fund this financial under-performance from gains that have been made from the Corpus managed investments. The losses have been progressively increasing, even though Clubhouse Food and Beveridge turnover has increased significantly.

The results of the review have now been established and the Board has agreed to proceed with an expression of interest, inviting top tier Caterers to submit a proposal to out-source the Catering operations, as soon as possible.

As we move into this phase of negotiations, Member’s will appreciate to get the best outcome we will not be communicating further on this matter, until a decision by the Board on the preferred Caterer is made.
