Course Closed – Monday Update – Further Updates Later Today

Members

Sunday 24 August Sam, Declan, along with the course maintenance team, completed the scheduled greens cutting using the ‘Walk Behind’ mowers. These units are typically transported between holes via a Gator towing a trailer.

However, due to soft ground conditions and the increased risk of turf damage or the equipment becoming bogged, the team made the decision to manually walk the mowers around the course. This approach, while more labour-intensive, was taken to ensure the playing surfaces remained protected and to avoid any unnecessary disruption to the course.

Their proactive response and commitment to maintaining course standards under challenging conditions are greatly appreciated.

The team will begin repair works today, installing sand and gravel as soon as the delivery arrives. Many of the affected areas are now contaminated and will require significant remediation to restore the integrity of the system.

This process involves reinstating the gravel and sand layers to ensure proper functionality and long-term success. The team is prepared to carry out this work thoroughly and efficiently once materials are on site. Please CLICK HERE for a brief look at the damage.

In the meantime, the clubhouse remains open!
We encourage members to drop by, catch up with fellow members, enjoy a beer, coffee or meal, and stay connected with the club community while we wait for the weather to clear.

Event Postponement Notice: Audrey Ring Memorial Day & Strathfield Cup

We understand these events are highlights on the club calendar, and we share in your disappointment. However, the safety of our players and the preservation of the course remain our top priorities.
