Course Restoration Update – Spring 2025
Following the completion of the extensive irrigation and drainage works, the Course Maintenance Team will now move into the next phase of restoration.
This stage focuses on repairing the areas most impacted during the installation process.
Larger bare areas will be carefully prepared and re-turfed to restore the playing surfaces to meet members expectation as we transition through spring and into the summer season.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our members during this period of improvement and look forward to presenting a revitalized course in the months ahead.
Clubhouse Update
A summary of key areas to that fall into our maintenance program:
- The carpark next to the ninth tee to be returned
- Cleaning and painting areas water damaged
- Furniture cleaning
- A change to outdoor parking to be NOSE IN ONLY to eliminate ongoing damage to the wall caused by tow bars.
- Basement carpark clean and freshen up following successful removal of the birds
- Clubhouse gardens ongoing refresh
Annual General Meeting
The 94th annual General Meeting will be held at The Club 6:00pm Friday 24 October 2025.
Further updates will be provided as we get closer to the date.
The official NOTICE OF MEETING will be available 21days prior no later than 5:00pm 3 October 2025.
NOTICE TO MEMBERS
Disciplinary Sub-Committee Notice
The Disciplinary Sub-Committee has reviewed the conduct of members regarding the rules governing ‘The Strathfield Way’ noted in the By-Laws that were deliberately breached.
- Two (2) members charged with a Grade 2 Offence
- One (1) member charged with a Grade 4 Offence
In accordance with the Clubs’s Rule and By-Laws, the Disciplinary Sub-Committee has decided to impose a suspension of members privileges of two (2) members of the club who have been found guilty of:
RESOLUTION
A Grade 2 Offence – Respect:
- For Each Other: We will offer and expect polite and respectful behaviour. We will stay still and quiet whilst others are hitting. We will comply with the Club Dress Code. We will engage with all staff politely. We will not tolerate behaviour which is rude, intimidatory, offensive, aggressive or generally unacceptable by normal social standards.
In accordance with the Club’s Rule and By-Laws, the Disciplinary Sub-Committee has decided to impose a suspension of members privileges of one (1) member of the club who have been found guilty of:
A Grade 4 Offence – Conduct unbecoming a member:
- 48 (a) The Board has power to reprimand, suspend from any or all privileges of membership for such period as it considers fit, expel or accept the resignation of any Full member if, in its opinion, that member:
- (iv) is guilty of any conduct which renders the member unfit for membership.
