Australian Golf Power Rankings October 7
Posted on: 7 October
- Kirsten Rudgeley (8)
A week off on the back of her tie for fifth at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, Rudgeley remains the leading Australian Ladies European Tour Order of Merit. Currently 27th on the Order of Merit, Rudgeley is entered for this week’s Hero Women’s Indian Open.
- Robyn Choi (10)
Another solid showing for the Gold Coaster who was tied for 32nd at the LPGA Tour’s Lotte Championship in Hawaii. After failing to maintain full status last year, has accumulated six top-20 finishes from limited starts to sit 67th on the Race to CME Globe standings.
- Wade Ormsby (New)
Further proof that sometimes you never know where your next win might come from. Without a top-20 finish in just six starts in 2025, Ormsby closed out the Jakarta International Championship with nine straight pars and then edged Scott Vincent in the playoff for a fifth career Asian Tour title.
- Jason Day (7)
Spending another week on the sidelines as he maintains his status as Australia’s highest-ranked male golfer.
- Marc Leishman (6)
Back on home soil next week where he will start as one of the tournament favourites at the Nexus Advisernet Bowra & O’Dea WA Open at Mount Lawley Golf Club.
- Austin Bautista (4)
Not entered for this week’s Limpopo Championship on the Sunshine Tour. Sits second on the Order of Merit eyeing off one of three DP World Tour cards for 2026.
- Travis Smyth (5)
Leap-frogged by Wade Ormsby as the top Aussie on the Asian Tour Order of Merit after finishing tied 11th at the Jakarta International Championship. Has not finished worse than tied 22nd in his past six starts which includes two top 10s and a top three.
- Elvis Smylie (3)
With weather playing havoc and reducing the tournament to 54 holes, Smylie is attributed with a missed cut despite playing all three rounds. Remains in position to claim the 10th and final PGA TOUR card on offer via the DP World Tour Order of Merit.
- Grace Kim (2)
Australia’s most recent major champion is enjoying an extended break prior to returning to play at next week’s BMW Ladies Championship in Korea.
- Minjee Lee (1)
Back in action this week for the Buick LPGA Shanghai event in China. Sits second on the Race to CME Globe standings thanks to a strong showing during the majors highlighted by victory at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
