The 2026 Australian Master of the Amateurs (AMOTA) is currently taking place at the Southern Golf Club in Melbourne.

  • Format: A 72-hole stroke play championship for both men and women, featuring a cut after 36 holes.
  • Participants: A field of 171 elite amateur golfers (87 men and 84 women) representing 21 nations.
  • Venue: Southern Golf Club, part of Melbourne’s renowned Sandbelt region.

Past champions including Jason Day (2006), David Micheluzzi (2018), Stephanie Kyriacou (2019), Sahith Theegala (2020) and Harrison Crowe (2022) have gone on to thrive on the professional stage, while the event’s alumni also includes the likes of Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau, Marc Leishman and Ryan Fox.
