Round 3 saw the courageous Strathfield pennant team, including our devoted and supportive caddies head to Massey Park Golf Course to take on our neighbours from Carnarvon Golf Club.

Carnarvon generally fields a strong side and is notoriously tough to beat in match play. With very similar handicaps across the board, there weren’t many shots given. It was always going to come down to composure and a few pivotal moments.

We came away with a gallant 3/2 victory, highlighted by some outstanding individual performances. The two matches we narrowly lost went right down to the wire, decided by just a few missed putts.

A fantastic team effort and a great result for the squad. 

We have a bye next week. However we’ll be hosting the Western Districts Teams at home next Monday.
