This is a General Notification to inform members that three (3) fellow members are in breach of the Strathfield Golf Club By-Laws. Grades 1, 2, & 4 offences under the Discipline Framework.

NOTICE TO MEMBERS

Secretary and Disciplinary Sub-Committee Notice
Date: Sunday, 22 June 2025

The Secretary and Disciplinary Sub-Committee has formally reviewed the conduct of three (3) members in relation to the following breaches of the Club’s Constitution, Rules, and By-Laws:

1. Use of Threatening and Abusive Language

   Involving threats of physical violence and the use of excessive profanity communicated via SMS, email, and telephone.

2. Failure to Repair Bunker Damage

   No attempt was made to repair the sand in a bunker following the execution of a stroke.

3. Failure to Repair Fairway Turf

   No attempt was made to repair turf damage caused by a stroke played from the fairway.

Resolution – 22 June 2025

Following due consideration, the Secretary and Disciplinary Sub-Committee has determined the following outcomes:

• The member identified in item 1 has been expelled from the Club and issued a permanent ban. The relevant authorities have been notified accordingly.

• The member identified in item 2 has been issued a one (1) week suspension from all Club activities.

• The member identified in item 3 has been formally recorded in the Club’s Breach and Discipline Register.

Further Actions:

• The members identified in items 2 and 3 are required to review the Club’s By-Laws and sign a declaration confirming their understanding and commitment to uphold the Club’s standards of conduct.
