Treasurer’s Corpus Update
I would like to take this opportunity to provide a timely update on the status of the Strathfield Golf Club Corpus investments as at the end of June 2025.

Strathfield Open for Business
I would like to begin by noting that on Thursday, 31 July 2025, Strathfield Golf Club remained open with carts permitted on course, while several other clubs—including Avondale, Monash, Pymble, Wakehurst, Killara, and Cromer, to name a few—were closed due to wet conditions.

Drainage Contractors
On behalf of the Board and Management, I extend my sincere thanks to all members for their patience and understanding throughout the past 18 months of essential irrigation and drainage works on the course These upgrades now nearing completion, are vital to enhancing the long-term quality of the playing surfaces, ensuring our resilience to extended wet or dry periods, and the playability of the course.
A special note of appreciation goes to our weekday members, who have experienced the greatest disruption, having not played the full course with all 18holes in play during this extended period. Your continued support and flexibility have been greatly valued.
I would also like to acknowledge the outstanding work carried out by Turf Drain, whose expertise and professionalism have delivered results we are already beginning to enjoy. Finally, my sincere thanks go to Sam Neylon, Declan Cramb, and the entire course maintenance team for their dedicated oversight of these projects and their unwavering commitment day in and day out.
We look forward to welcoming all members back to a fully restored course and appreciate your continued support as we complete the final stages of this important work.
