 COURSE AND NEW CLUBHOUSE NEWS

Members visiting the club regularly will notice that each day we are edging towards completion. A number of large items such as the entry road have now been ticked off and everything is now coming together.

The completion of the entry road has given the builders access to grade and form up our loading dock area, which was poured on Thursday. The kerbing up past the maintenance shed was also poured this week. The apron to the east of the maintenance shed is currently being levelled and prepared for the machinery wash down bay. A large portion of the dish drain to the west of our entry road was also poured on Wednesday.

The exit ramp from the carpark is now also now useable. Please use this ramp when exiting the carpark, which will allow the long ramp to accommodate entering vehicles only.

Today the builders are packing the void below the entry ramp with structural foam. This has been installed on top of drainage cell and will be landscaped over the coming weeks. Bollard lighting has also been installed in the alfresco areas outside of the dining and function pods.

Inside the clubhouse there is a lot of detailed work happening, including the installation of light fittings and security cameras. The fireplace structure which will provide a barrier between the lounge and sports bar areas was formed up this week. Installation of additional joinery including the louvered wall in the café area is ongoing.

Cleaners are detailing the internal areas on the ground floor so that laying of carpet will commence next week.

This morning Flemmings completed turfing of the 9th tee complex and the first section of the fairway. Throughout the week Flemmings have also installed river rock along the edge of the on-grade carpark. This will act as a dry river bed, and during times of rain will channel water from the on grade carpark and divert it off our fairways. This will help alleviate drainage issues along the 9h and 18th fairways.

 Doug Crosby OAM

Long term member, Board member and past President, Doug has just returned home from an extended period in hospital and is reportedly recovering well.

We wish Doug a swift recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the club in the near future.

Practice nets

The new nets have now been completed and are available for members use. Three of the mats are designed for members to use their own tees to ensure they have their preferred tee height- the remainder will have rubber tees in place

Lockers available

Keys to the lockers have been handed over to us and we can now commence issuing lockers to members.

The price of hiring lockers is $50 annually, which is to be paid to the office. Each locker is individually keyed, so please visit during office hours Monday to Friday, or make payment over the phone so that a key can be left in the halfway house to be collected over the weekend.
